Some Afternoon Fun

We took the kids to Putters the other afternoon. It was a lot of fun! Nobody else was even there so we had the place to ourselves, so to speak. :) We'll definitely be going back. Here's Zach whizzing down the slide.

I think he liked it.

Abby's turn!

She did that game where you roll the ball down and wherever it lands determines how many tickets you win. Well, she did pretty good as you can see with all of the tickets coming out. And she did it all on her own too! Impressive. :)
Zach liked this game quite a bit.

Gotta do some shooting I suppose...
And driving...
One of the coolest things there was this miniature bowling alley. Check it out!

Daddy's turn!
And little miss.

Nice stance, Abby.
Fun times! It's nice to have places like this close-by that the kids like and that are cheap!! Can't complain about that!

Mom's Birthday

My mom's birthday was March 1 and we had her over for a little birthday celebration. It was just her and us....small and intimate and just the way I like it. :)

Well at least grandma looks happy.

Buds.

Speaking of buds, these are the roses that I got for her. I just thought they were so beautiful and colorful I had to take a picture of them!

Logging Conference

Andy took the kids to the Lane County Logging Conference a few weekends ago. And yes, I'm just finally posting the pics! (I have some serious catching up to do!) Anyway, they had a ball, as you can imagine. Getting to see all of those cool, big machines and even climb in and around them....well, it was a good time. Especially for one little boy in particular! :)
!

I think this one's really cute of the three of them.
Getting down like a pro!
All smiles.

Whatever that thing was, it was HUGE!

Happy.

Grumpy.

For your viewing pleasure...

Sorry, but I'm pulling this trick again. These are beach pictures from last weekend....we were able to use a friends beach house last Friday night in Florence. It was a lot of fun and soooo nice to get away! Zach was sick (seems like someone in our family is always sick!) so he wasn't quite his perky self, but he still had a good time and was happy to have a change of scenery.

Anyway, hope you like. :)

A funny Zach...

So we got a dot-to-dot book for Zach, and we showed him how to do it and asked if he wanted to try. He says, no he doesn't and closes the book. I say, "Gee Zach, you sure don't like to try very hard at things, do you?" (this is an on-going thing with him....doesn't want to try if he doesn't think he can do it perfectly right away).

To which he replies, "No. That's why I'm not a genius!"

I had to laugh! I didn't even know he knew the word genius. Where do they come up with this stuff?!? Funny guy!

Abby's Two!

Our little girl turned 2 last Saturday, Jan. 31st. Where have the last two years gone? Amazing how fast it goes... Anyway, here are some pictures from her party. We just invited over family that was in town, and still had a household of about 20 people! It was cozy but fun and I think everyone had a good time. Andy and Uncle Mike even braved the cold weather to do some BBQ'ing. Nothing like a BBQ in January, right? Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics. This first one is of her birthday cupcakes. Cute, huh? Ok I have to fess up....I made the cupcakes and frosting, and my sister actually did the decorating. She has some talent there I'd say! :)

Grandma was the firt to arrive and entertained the kids with some books while we waited for other guests. I think that woman needs to volunteer at the public library to read to kids....she has a gift for just getting them completely enthralled with the books! It's really fun to watch.
Mmmm, she likes chips. It was great until she spilled salsa all down the front of her pretty party dress. Oh well...
Cousins Austin, Alex and Andy.

Chow-time.
The "kids" table. I get a kick out of the fact that Abby is the only girl granchild in town (on Andy's side at least) so she is always surrounded by older boys. I don't think she minds though....they take very good care of their little cousin. :)
My dad and his girlfriend, Rita.
Auntie Colleen and Abby.
Presents!!

Her first Oregon Duck sweatshirt. (above her head) Probably the first of many if her daddy has any say in the matter.
A new doll that she absolutely loves. She feeds her, gives her lots of hugs and kisses, and puts her to bed everyday. So stinkin' cute!
A CUTE new outfit from Aunt Karen that she sent down. I love it!
Now we're into the dress-up, princess garb. She got her own little purse, complete with shades, cell-phone, lipstick, car keys, etc. It's been so cute to see her role playing with it all.
And a feather boa of course!
Ok, and a crown. Can you tell I like girly things?
Fancy lady!
Finally a little smile as she sees her cupcake tower. (She had been a bit sick so was kind-of subdued for most of the party)

Digging in!
I think the cupcake eating was her favorite part.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!! We really couldn't love you more!
