Long time no post...

Yes, I am aware of this sad fact. My blog suffers from my devotion to Facebook these days. Although, you may get lucky and get to see some new pics on here soon, because now I can't get them to upload on FB! Sad for me, maybe lucky for you. :)

Stay tuned...

Beach!

We spent last weekend at the beach with my sister and her family, and my dad and his girlfriend. It was great! The beach house we were in had a deck that went all the way around the house, so needless to say the kids were loving running around the house. A lot. I love this picture of Zach...he's looking like such a big boy!

Bringing up the rear!
Strike a pose.
Cute girl!

Emily and Jasmine discovering the joy of Guitar Hero. They did really well too!
Alice and her tongs.
Playing on the beach. Too bad it was soooo windy! Abby didn't last long, which was fine by me because I was freezing with that wind blowing.

Andy and his sand-castle project. Kept the older kids busy for quite awhile.
Zach was in charge of gathering shells to decorate the castle with.
Worker bees...
Me and Abby in the wind...
Ta-da! Pretty good, wouldn't you say?

Proud of their work. :)
Andy made Skim boards for himself and the kids. (I hadn't heard of them either, don't worry) Something he and his family always used to do at the coast. He looks a little grounded here though.
That's going to be a good one!
Little skimmer.

The kids found these hats in one of the closets in the house so we ended up having a hat night. Here's my sister and my dad.

Arriving at the sand dunes.
Uncle Brad helping Zach out of the pit.

Andy being all fancy with his somersault in. ;)
Emily and Brad...

More skim board fun on our one sunny day.

Lesson time...
Not bad, Zach!

I love this shot.

Concentration!
Miss Em....being her relaxed self.
My feet.
My boys!

And about 2 minutes after we pulled out of the McDonalds drive-thru on the way home....too tired to eat after such a fun-filled, busy weekend!

Garden

Andy kinda spur-of-the-moment put this little beauty together and I'm so excited! It's in the perfect, sunny spot and I know they plants are going to do wonderfully! Nothing like going out to your own yard to pick produce, huh? Yea! :) So this is out front, and then in our raised-bed in the backyard (where we typically have always planted tomatoes) we now have pole beans, lettuce and basil. Mmmm, delicious! No pictures of that, but you can just use your imagination. Lots of beautiful tomatoes!

Corn. We've never grown corn before, but I think it will be fun.
Strawberries. Nuff said. (not pictured close-up: cucumbers and a sunflower)
Should be good!

Mother's Day

Well I had to post this picture from Mother's Day because it is one of the very rare, semi-decent pictures to be captured of me and the kids. Good day for it to happen, huh? Mother's Day. Anyway, here are me and my little loves... And, we can't forget why I'm here in the first place! My sister, mom and me. :)

Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mother's out there! Hope your day was special! :)

Stapleton Overhead Door

Well, I haven't said anything about this yet on here, but thought you might all like to know that we have opened our own company. Pretty exciting! Well, I suppose I should say Andy opened his own company...I really wasn't that involved in more than being supportive of his decision. He quit his job at Overhead Door back in early February and has been working hard since to get his own gig off the ground. He is so much happier already and we've been spoiled by having more "daddy time" at home for the last 3 months!

Anyway, we're up and running, thanks to Andy's hard work and some wonderful help/support from family and friends. We're excited to see what the future holds for us in our new venture. Give us a call for any and all of your garage door needs, and feel free to spread the word! :)

Easter

I realize it's pretty amazing that Easter was only 3 days ago and I'm already posting about it. Not like me lately as I'm sure you've noticed! I just can't seem to get it together for blogging lately. Sorry. I'll try to be better. Anyway, these are some of our Easter eggs that we dyed....not that you couldn't figure that out on your own or anything...

Sad-face shot after I scolded her a bit for cracking one of our hard-boiled eggs. I guess I hurt her feelings. Poor thing. :(
Easter morning. Zach had forgotten that it was going to be Easter in the morning the night before, so was pretty surprised to notice his basket was full of goodies.
Skittles. Gotta love em!
With their Pez dispensers. They thought they were pretty darn cool!
Still holding onto those Pez guys...
I try to get a good shot of them together every once in awhile, but as shown here, it doesn't usually work!
Another attempt...
At the Stapleton's for brunch.
Andy, Austin and Uncle Andy.
Zach and Abby's cousins put on a little Easter egg hunt at grandma and grandpa's. The kids loved it and made quite a haul!

Alex, Austin, Abby, Adam and Zach.
And again. :)
At grandma Turay's. Another fun egg hunt!

My last attempt to get a cute picture of them together. Sigh....well I guess they're still cute, even if they're not looking at me or smiling, right? Right. :)
