Finally...the Pumpkin Patch

Yes, I'm behind as usual to get these on here! I'm not going to write much because they're pretty self-explanatory. Figured you guys could figure out what was going on!! (such smart people that you are!) :)

Beautiful Day at the Park

This has got to be about the prettiest fall we've had in a long time. Just gorgeous! And it's so nice as a mom, to be able to still take the kids to the park and have it be warm and sunny. As opposed to the usual, rainy! So here we are on one of our many recent days at a local park. Zach has been very anti-picture lately, so this is about the best picture I got of him.

Abby, who is blowing me away with how well she gets around and climbs everything. And I mean everything. She does great though, so I try not to hover too much. :)

Wee!

More agility feats...

Having a little snack break. What a fun day!

Halloween projects

So these are our "monsters" that we made the other night. They're just rice krispy treats that are supposed to look like Frankensteins, but they ended up just looking like silly monsters, which is ok with me. The kids had fun with it!

Our jack-o-lanterns. Ok, Andy actually did all of the carving, but I was good at watching. :) The one on the right is Barack Obama. That took Andy awhile!

We've been Obama'd

Andy had the kids on the counter last night as he was making dinner....I was gone at rehearsal. He put some little Obama stickers on them and was excited to show me the picture he took. Ah yes, starting them out right!

Look Who Can Ride Without Training Wheels?

On Tuesday Zach had his 4-year check-up at the doctor's, and afterwards he decided that since he was such a big boy now, he didn't really need training wheels on his bike anymore. That was it. His mind was made up. So when we got home (at about 5pm) Andy took off the training wheels and said, ok, let's give this a try. Zach must have known he was ready because this is how he was doing 24 hours later, with maybe 1 hour worth of practicing. He is doing great!! And if you ask him he says, "You just have to keep trying and not give up!"

Sounds to me like he's got it all figured out.

Fall Fun

I love this time of year and can't seem to get enough farm and pumpkin patch visits in with the kids. Never! These are some farm pics from over the weekend. Next weekend will be the pumpkin patch, so stay tuned for that.
These first ones are out at Thistledown. The kids were lovin the hay maze and the animals.

And you just can't go to Thistledown without getting one of their homemade applesauce doughnuts...the best! These ones were so fresh they were still warm. Notice the kids are so busy eating that I couldn't get them to look at me and smile for the camera. Oh well. Some things are just more important than pictures I guess. :)
This was at LonePine Farms. My cute little pumpkin girl. Abby spent about 10 minutes smelling the flowers. Even though these are Zinnias and don't really smell, she didn't seem to mind!

Ready for the cow train! I rode with Abby and Zach was a brave boy and rode in his "cow" all by himelf. There we go! Ok, at least one of us was smiling, right?

After disappointing pictures, we tried one last time to get a good one of the kids together, but no such luck. This is as good as it got....Zach back there doing his "cheese!" but not looking at the camera, and Abby wandering off, ready to get outta there! Maybe the pumpkin patch will yield better pictures for us next weekend.

I Love Them

Did anyone see her on Larry King last night? Wow! And I'm sorry, but he totally rocked the Presidential Debate...no doubt! I just really think they are both wonderful and I can't wait until they are in the White House!! It's gonna happen! :) (sorry to get political here...well, kinda sorry....I am just pretty excited to see some much needed CHANGE happen)
