Beach Time!

These are some pictures from a family reunion (Andy's side) that was in early August. Sorry we're so late in getting them posted. We all had a great time, and Zach especially enjoyed getting to play with all of his cousins, build sand-castles, and eat Smores!! Doesn't get much better than that, right? :)

Old friends, new babies!

Seems there's been a baby boom with my group of friends! This is a picture of us all at a recent get-together with our spouses and little ones. (minus Zachary who was off picking blackberries!) It just amazes me sometimes how much our lives have changed. Doesn't seem that long ago that we were just a bunch of goofy high school kids with no cares in the world! I guess we've given birth to the next "bunch" now. Hopefully they will enjoy each other as much as their parents did and do. I feel pretty lucky to have had such wonderful friends for so many years.

The Family

We went to the Scandinavian Festival Friday night and had fun posing with the Scandinavian cut-out people. For some reason, we all wanted to pose with the one that was the opposite gender than us, so that is why it's mixed up. Oh well! Abby didn't pose, so I just added a different picture of her so she wouldn't feel left out.

I've been tagged.....8 random facts about me!

1) My favorite color is periwinkle. It just makes me happy!

2) I love to bake and have a secret desire to own my own bakery.

3) I have an obesession with sheets....only 100% cotton and at least 200 thread count!

4) My favorite movie is The Sound of Music, and when I was in Austria (many moons ago!) I went on The Sound of Music tour. Nerdy to some, but exciting to me!

5) When I was born, if I had been a boy my name would have been John. Weird.

6) I have a phobia of spiders that is at the insane level. I mean it, it's pretty ridiculous but I just can't help it!

7) I think we all have a responsibility to be "green" these days, and I'm trying to make changes, even if they're small, that will help our Earth. We have to take care of this planet and it really burns me when people don't think they need to do their part and that the whole thing is just propaganda. Grrrr! (I'm getting worked up....can you tell??)

8) I watch Days of Our Lives everyday. Sad, but true.

Ok, those are my eight! I'm supposed to now tag 8 other people, but I don't even know that many people that blog, and of the few that I do know, most have already done this. I think this is a testament to the fact that more of my friends and family need to start blogs! I had fun doing this though....thanks for the tag Brynne!!

These are just some random pictures that I thought were cute of the kids and wanted to share. No big events go with them, just everyday life. We did however just get back from a family reunion at the beach and have lots of pictures from that to share, but I'm going to let Andy be in charge of that one....he's better at this blog stuff than I am!! :) So watch for those to come soon.
